April 2nd, 2019 Marvin Gaye’s 80th Birthday

On what would have been his 80th Birthday, here is one of Marvin Gaye’s biggest hits, “I Heard It Through The Grapevine”. This single, on Motown, is from 1968, when it reached number one, on the Billboard Hot 100, in December that year, and stayed there for 7 weeks. RIP Marvin Gaye 1939-1984.

Rolling Stones – Paint It Black (1966)

This is probably my favorite Rolling Stones song. Paint It Black was released in 1966, reaching Number One in the UK and the USA, and around the World. It went on to be featured on the movie soundtracks, of “Full Metal Jacket” and “The Devils Advocate”.
